IMPORTANT NEWS:

Due to medical issues, we will not be putting out a 2010 edition of the Aviation Scholarship Directory this year. It was a very difficult decision, and I hope we will have a 2011 copy available in late fall.
Some of the 2009 info will still be relevant, so I encourage you to continue to use it a s a reference.

Good luck with your flight training, and please check back with us again later this year.

Top 10 Ways to Impress Your Scholarship Committee

10. Write legibly.

9. Dress nicely for your interview, not in jeans and a t-shirt but in clean slacks and a dress shirt.

8. Show up at your interview on time, or even a few minutes early.

7. Be sincere and honest in all communications with your committee, from the application form, essay, and interview, to the award banquet if there is one.

6. Turn in your application on time, or to be more impressive, turn it in a little early.

5. Answer all questions asked in the essay prompt. Really, all of them.

4. Be yourself. You are a very interesting person, so show them that rather than try to convince them you are someone you are not.

3. Project confidence.

2. Send the committee or organization a handwritten thank you card after you win.

And the number one best way to impress your scholarship committee:

1. Fill out the application completely, fully, including all references and essays and documentation asked for.
